Open Question: Can I use my Wal-Mart Gift Card to put money onto a Wal-Mart prepaid Visa card?

I have a $150 Wal-Mart gift card. It is just a regular card that I got for the holidays. I’m desperately needing to pay bills and though I certainly appreciate the thought of giving me anything at all I need to get a Wal-Mart prepaid Visa. You know the kind, they usually cost about $3 and you can load money onto it. They send a “permanent” card in the mail later with your name on it and then you can use it for just about anything like you could with a debit card from your bank. My question is… can I go and get one of the Wal-Mart Visa cards that I load money to and can use anywhere and take the regular gift card and “purchase” it with that and load the remaining money onto the Visa card?
I know that may sound a little confusing so here’s a simpler way of putting it I think:
I have a regular Wal-Mart gift card with $150
I want a Wal-Mart Visa card that costs $3 (usually) and I can load money on and use pretty much anywhere.
Can I purchase that Visa for the $3 and then load the remaining money using my regular Wal-Mart gift card?
