Open Question: Are stray marks in the margin of a scantron picked up when the scantron is graded?

I usually mark questions that I want to come back to and check if I have time with a little dot on the left-hand margin, to the left of the number. I forgot to erase them when the tests were collected, so I’m hoping that the marks will not be picked up by the machine and the questions marked wrong…
