Open Question: Did you ever regret eloping our getting married at a courthouse?

At first me and my fiance wanted to get married in the fall next year. We are having a baby in march.
His mom opened us up to the idea of getting eloping now and having a wedding later. we know we probably won’t have a wedding if we do elope or go to a courthouse though. And with the baby on the way we dont have enough money for a small wedding.
we were both witnesses when my grandparents got married at a courthouse and we said we would never do that.
Now we dont care anymore, we just want to marry eachother. Not because it’s the right thing to do because we are having a baby, but because we love eachother and want to be married.
i would love to just go marry him, I am just alittle worried about what if I regret not having a wedding and being able to dress up.
i am not worried about my family not being involved, his might feel alittle more hurt. I think they would be happy for us though.
Did anyone regret eloping or marrying at a courthouse?
