Open Question: 4 yr. old cat leaking urine after catherization for urinary blockage and surgery for bladder stone?

My 4 yr old cat couldn’t pee and I immediately took him to the vet. Turns out his urinary tract was blocked with struvite crystals or something like that. They catherized him to clear the blockage and also found a large bladder stone which was surgically removed. I brought him home a few days later and he still seemed to be having trouble peeing. He also was leaking urine. I had to take him back to the vet and there he remains as I write this. Do you think that the vet could have damaged something and that is why the cat is leaking urine? They said he isn’t reblocked which is good but something is wrong. I know this causes terrible pain when they can’t pee. They said they are keeping an eye on him and keeping him comfortable. I am fearful that I may have to put him to sleep. The cost for all this is unbelievable. I don’t know what to do for the poor little guy. I love my
cat but don’t want him to suffer. I think the vet may have did something wrong. Maybe a vet will read this and be able to help. I appreciate any suggestions or info anyone may have to help my little Petey. He was on several meds when he came home but nothing seemed to help him relax his bladder and pee. I am sad about this so please only serious replies. Thank you!
Petey was put on urinary so cat food. He was in and out of the little box when he came home and not producing any urine. On clavimox, phenoxybenzamine, alprazolam, some pain med. Talked to the vet today but Petey is about the same. Thanks Lisa.
